![]() ![]() I'm running an older Dell Optiplex 7020, which is about 5 or 6 years old, I think. Which Arturia instruments (and with what settings) typically use up a lot of CPU? I just tried the MiniV3 and the Modular V3, both in Poly mode, played a lot of keys at once, twiddled with filter around, but could not get my CPU usage to go up more than about 15% from the 10% it was using with not much else going on. But I've done that, too, and never noticed any heavy CPU usage. If it makes a difference, I was just using the stand-alone executables, not running them as VSTs. Nothing special, bought it as a refurb a couple of years ago from Microcenter. I applaud Arturia for going in this direction, and hope chip shortages and inflated video card prices will soon be a thing of the past! With this latest generation, though, they are both distinctly more characterful, sounding much more like each instrument, and significantly more CPU hungry. ![]() That might be what was responsible for their less characterful sound. One thing I liked about the previous Arturia versions is that they took very little CPU. ![]()
